| Trinity Church is on the east
side of Rt 9 (S. Highland Ave) just south of the junction with Rt 133, between
Eastern Ave. and Ellis Place. It is a grey limestone building with a bell/clock
tower and red doors. Telephone at the church (914) 941-0806. TO TRINITY CHURCH FROM NYC VIA METRO NORTH COMMUTER RAIL LINE: (Hudson Line) Station stop Ossining. Call Metro North for fare and schedule information. (http://www.mta.info or 1-800-metro-info) There are taxis at the station. Or you may follow the main road up the hill; about a 10 minute walk. DRIVING: FROM MANHATTAN: Follow the West Side Hwy/Henry Hudson Pkwy north and continue on with the Saw Mill River Pkwy north. (Pass the Cross County Pkwy and I287). Exit for Taconic Pkwy north. Then immediately *Exit at Rt 117. Turn Left (west) at the bottom of the ramp onto 117. Continue to the end and follow signs for Rt 9 north to Ossining. Pass Sleepy Hollow Country Club,Scarborough Presb. Church, Arcadian Shopping Center, Methodist Church (on right), Presbyterian Church (on left), Ossining High School (on right). Go through traffic light after High School, and turn Right on to Ellis Place and immediately turn left, into Trinity's parking lot. FROM LOWER WESTCHESTER Use either the Saw Mill River Pkwy, Bronx River Pkwy, or Sprain Brook Pkwy (all north bound) to the Taconic State Pkwy north. Follow from * above. FROM THE TAPPAN ZEE BRIDGE Exit I287/87 at Rt 9 north. Go through Tarrytown and follow Rt 9 past Sleepy Hollow Country Club,Scarborough Presb. Church, Arcadian Shopping Center, Methodist Church (on right), Presbyterian Church (on left), Ossining High School (on right). Go through traffic light after High School, and turn Right on to Ellis Place and immediately turn left, into Trinity's parking lot. OR Exit I287/87 at Saw Mill River Pkwy north. Exit for Taconic Pkwy north. Then immediately for Rt 117. Follow from * above FROM NORTHEASTERN WESTCHESTER & PUTNAM AREAS Using either the Saw Mill River Pkwy or the Taconic State Pkwy, exit at Rt 133 West and follow Rt 133 to its end at Rt 9. Turn left (south) onto Rt 9. **At a "Y" intersection veer to the right to go only slightly down the hill onto Main St. Stay to the left and turn left at the stop sign to go back up the hill. (You will travel around the red brick Baptist Church) Make a left (north) from the middle of the 3 lanes onto Rt 9 again, and then immediately turn right onto Ellis Place. And turn left into Trinity's parking lot. You may not turn left onto Ellis Place from Rt 9; hence the loop-de-loop! FROM NORTHWEST PUTMAN & WESTCHESTER, AND ROCKLAND & ORANGE (BEAR MT. BRIDGE) Follow Rt 9 South into Ossining. Just after you cross the junction with Rt 133 follow from ** above FROM SOUTHERN CT (using major highways. There may be a more direct route from your location) Take the Merrit Pkwy or I95 south to I287 west to exit 3 Sprain Pkwy north (becomes the Taconic State Pkwy). Follow from * above |
