Description of Services

Many of our services come from the 1979 Book of Common Prayer (abbreviated BCP here). An index to some online versions can be found at http://justus.anglican.org/resources/bcp/bcp.htm.

Morning Prayer - This short worship service is led by one of our lay readers, usually using Rite I, starting on page 37 of the BCP (see the link above).

Holy Communion - At Trinity, Rite I is used at both Sunday morning services. It begins on page 323 of the BCP.

Stations of the Cross and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament - Held at Trinity on Fridays during Lent, these two services of prayerful meditation come to us from our Catholic heritage. They are not present in the BCP, but I have found a web site with a very similar version of the Stations service that we use at Trinity (http://www.msgr.ca/msgr-7/THE_WAY_OF_THE_CROSS.htm). The Catholic Encyclopedia has this page that talks about Benediction, but to get to know the service, you're going to have to come!
